Applewood Centre for Adult Learning is grateful for its community support both past and present:

The Ontario Trillium Foundation was a key partner in our start up.

The Peel District School Board supported us with rent-free classroom space and access to the school gym, lunchroom and playground from 2008 to 2012.

In September 2012, we found exceptional accommodations in the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Learning Centre.

We are involved with the Apprenticeship Training in Ontario Program through the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities.  College students from Humber, Sheridan, Everest and Medix have been placed with us to do their Field Placement Practicum.

The Region of Peel and the United Way of Peel Region provided us with funding for a Capacity Building Framework.

In 2013 we were sucessful in obtaining a 2-year sustainability grant from the Region of Peel under their Community Investment Grant Program.

ACAL was honoured to be presented with donations from the Mississauga Central Lions Club.

In 2013 The City of Mississauga awarded ACAL with a grant to support greater participation in the community by our clients. In both 2014 and 2015 we were sucessful in obtaining additional funding to provide music therapy and enhanced recreational programming for our clients.

We are extremely grateful to these supportive agencies for their assistance to ACAL in providing essential services to young adults with special needs and their families.

Thank you to all!
